Our story
Based on the Founder's own past experience of (far too long) diagnostic & therapeutic wandering in a life-threatening chronic auto-immune disease, as well as her decades-long expertise in behavioral sciences, profiling and her extended research in psychosomatic medicine, the project started first in 2020 in Barcelona, after the Covid pandemic, under the code name "MENTAL ID".
Christel and her new associate Alexei, specialized in Genetics and Biostatistics, leveraged the Machine Learning Platform which she had previously created in 2014 in France together with the support of an IT Engineer to deliver precision yet holistic profiling of Top Executives and High-Potentials, and adapted its functionalities to the needs and requirements of the medical market.
After 4 years of intensive market research, solution design and successful testing on chronic pain patients in leading university hospitals in France and Spain, the team decided in 2024 to move up North, looking for the ecosystem most appropriate to further develop and launch its solution. Denmark was chosen for the dynamics of its Life Science sector, the presence of trustworthy specialized LLM and agentic AI builders, as well as for its proximity to the German market.
A few months after the company was incorporated in Copenhagen, Professor Oliver Hendricks, a Rheumatologist of international fame who leads advanced R&D projects in the Esbjerg University Hospital, immediately expressed his interest in the solution to solve unexplained resistance to treatment in chronic pain, among which rheumatoid arthritis, spondylarthrosis and fibromyalgia, so that a Clinical Study protocol was designed, to start recruting and massively profiling new incoming patients mid 2026. This first study was granted initial financial support from a Danish Entrepreneurial Family Foundation.

Many doctors from other medical specialties and various countries in and outside Europe, as well as researchers and epidemiologists expressed the same enthusiasm after seeing demos of real patient cases, the statistics which the platform enables to generate out of the collected data, as well as appreciating the highly ethical business model.

The solution also received in 2025 the attention from Rare Disease Patient Associations specialists, after the Resolution for Rare was passed at the World Health Assembly in Geneva, paving the way for improved funding and research to better help patients which are underserved and frequently misunderstood.

​In June 2026, the METEOR Clinical Study will be presented to the European Congress of Rheumatology.
With this perspective in sight, the associates, which together cover 5 nationalities and speak over 6 different languages, decided that it was time to rebrand the project, getting out of the years-long bootstrapped "stealth mode" in the first quarter of 2026.
ISBERG HEALTH went live end of January 2026 and is now open to fundraising in order to grow the team and accelerate its development.
